Upton Sinclair
The great Muckraker, (September 20, 1878-November 25, 1968). Upton Sinclair was an author and politician, his best known books are "The Jungle" (which led to the passage of the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906), "Oil", and "It Can't Happen Here". An ardent socialist, Sinclair spent his life exposing the dark side of capitalism and dedicated himself tirelessly to the American Worker.
